The family of late Nollywood star Alexx Ekubo has officially announced details of his burial arrangements following his passing at the age of 40.
In a statement shared on the actor’s social media platforms, the family described him as a loving, generous, and deeply compassionate individual whose impact would remain unforgettable. They also expressed appreciation for the overwhelming support, prayers, and condolences received from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers since news of his death became public.
According to the funeral schedule, a service of songs will take place on June 10 at The Monarch Event Centre in Lekki, Lagos, while the wake is scheduled for June 17 in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State. His funeral service and burial will hold on June 18.
The late actor, who rose to fame through several successful Nollywood productions, was widely admired for his charisma, talent, and contribution to the Nigerian film industry. His death sparked tributes from entertainers, public figures, and fans across the country.
Before his acting breakthrough, Ekubo gained national attention after emerging first runner-up at the 2010 Mr Nigeria competition. Over the years, he featured in numerous popular films and became one of Nollywood’s most recognizable faces.
