EU unwavering support for Okonjo Iweala

The European Union has declared its allegiance with former Nigerian finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to lead the World Trade Organization, a good start for Nigeria and Africa at large.
Two dominant aspirants, Okonjo-Iweala and Yoo Myung-hee, are currently running to be the first female leader in the WTO’s 25-year history, taking the baton from Brazilian Roberto Azevedo, who was just recently stepped down a month earlier to his tenure expiration. Mrs. Okonjo Iweala affiliation with the EU is considered a strong bond to reinstate the multinational trade order and a sign of symbiotic trust between the EU and Africa. Matters arising from the trade centre include constructive criticism from Donald Trump’s administration, which inhibited its appeals body by delaying judges’ appointments and allowing the united state- china trade to suffer a significant backlash.
Okonjo-Iweala, with her impressive records in Africa and the world in general, intends to use her influence if elected to be a source of support, the effective dispersal of drugs, and basic amenities to Africa and the world at large.
