CAF president has confirmed rumors about going for a second term in office as president of African football’s regulatory body. Come 2021; CAF elections for the presidency seat will be held in March in Morocco.
In February, As stated by vanguard, leaked reports from FIFA show that there’s been mismanagement of funds under the tenure of Ahmad Ahmad coupled with numerous controversies that are yet to be fully verified by the regulatory body. It is worthy of note that the CAF president is wanted and under investigations labeled against him, Although Ahmad Ahmad claims to be unaware of specific labels.
Ahmad Ahmad successful campaign led to the unseating of Issa Hayatou, who had governed the body for 29 years in a row. The odds favor Ahmad Ahmad as he has secured the votes of forty (40) national football federation; he needs a total of 68 votes to rerun for the seat of presidency.
